Digital follow-up

Independent at school, college or university or at home

Analysis and logging at school, college or university or at home

The personal Lab Doc with the recorded measurement data and the entered answers can be stored at any time by the students themselves.

The students can save their results as a file to continue working on another device. Or they can save the entire Lab Doc with their results as a PDF for archiving, printing or sharing. If they want to continue working on the same device later, they can also have their results automatically stored in the web browser memory.

This independent and sustainable learning, including digital analysis and deepening of theory from the lesson, increases the intensity of learning and also enhances learning success.

The digital protocol with the prepared measurement data and the interpreted result can be sent by the students directly to the teacher. The digital protocol is managed by the students themselves, thus ensuring data protection. A server infrastructure or cloud is not necessary.

When your students send you the Lab Docs, you can digitally follow the experiment. You decide whether you do this on a tablet, smartphone or PC. Using sample answers, sample measurements and analyses in the teacher's version of the Lab Docs, the reviewing and checking is very efficient for you.

Step 3: Return to teacher for analysing and grading

After or during the experiment, the students can answer the assignments in the Lab Doc and you can then analyse and grade them.

During the development process we have given a lot of thought to how we can best support you.

To ensure optimum follow-up to lessons, we provide several options for analysing and grading:

a)  Submission as PDF file via e-mail or in your learning platform:
Students can store the Lab Doc with their answers as a PDF file and send it to you or upload it to a learning platform. Afterwards, you correct the PDF document with a programme of your choice.

B)  Submission via Microsoft Teams:
If you have linked the Lab Doc as a task with Microsoft Teams for Education, your students can store their results directly in MS Teams and then share the Lab Doc with you to correct. You can see the status at any time, whether your students have already answered the assignments or are still in the editing phase. You can now check the answers, comment directly in the Lab Doc and return them to the students via MS Teams. Grading is also done in Microsoft Teams.

C) Submission via printout:
The classic way is also possible! Your students fill out the Lab Doc by you have printed out before by hand and give it back to you after lesson (class). You also check and grade the printout by hand.

These various follow-up options also lead to an enormous time saving. Digital and still very simple!!

Directly at the tablet in the school, students can transfer the recorded measured values into common analysing and logging programs. Alternatively, the measurement results can be made available for analysis at home. The measurement data are compatible throughout the entire CASSY system and can be loaded and saved again and again. Thus, a further, detailed analysis of the measurement data by the students is possible in the free version of CASSY Lab 2.
