For in-depth knowledge of drive technology

Our training system for electrical machines makes it possible to perform fundamental experiments on machines without much effort. The experiments are summarised into topic-specific, interactive courses. The courses run on all platform and devices. All settings are specified by the courses and automatically transferred to the measuring system via Wifi or USB. The Machine Test CASSY, the dynamometer and the machine base bench form the basis for our modern machine testing system.


Machine Test CASSY

Compatible and comprehensive

The LEYBOLD Machine Test CASSY is the safe and user-friendly solution for training in electrical drive technology. It is possible to upgrade existing FEEDBACK, LEYBOLD and ELWE Technik machines to run with the new machine system. This allows you to upgrade the lab to the newest standard cost-effectively by re-using almost all existing components.

The system enables both the detailed testing of motors and generators and the practical simulation of loads in different drive scenarios, which are also used in electrical vehicles or renewable technologies.

Safety and didactics go hand in hand

The LEYBOLD drive systems enable safe experimentation thanks to numerous safety measures. For example, all rotating parts are covered, locked and monitored. At the same time, practical hazards are addressed in the courses, which is an important part of the training.


Power electronics in drive technology

LEYBOLD offers a compact, didactically designed frequency converter for driving electrical machines. The Converter Controller CASSY provides a basic understanding of modern drive and servo technology controlled by power electronics.

Variety with interchangeable rotors

Machines with interchangeable rotors are ideal for demonstrating the design and function of electrical machines. The interaction of assembling of the machine immediately opens up a new understanding. Thanks to the use of industry-related components, the machine can be compared directly with an industrial machine. The machines are functional and can be fully characterised with the Machine Test CASSY.
